The Strengthening Youth and Families Conference is Texas’ only interagency-funded annual conference for youth-serving professionals, attracting over 300 attendees who come together for several days of networking and professional development. Conference partners include Health and Human Services Commission and Texas System of Care, Texas Department of State Health Services, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, Texas Juvenile Justice Department, the State Volunteer Resource Council for Texas Youth, Texas Education Agency, Texas School Safety Center at Texas State University, Texas A&M University, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, ViaHope, and Boys to Men Texas.
The Conference Planning Committee seeks to offer workshops related to the promotion of positive youth development and the prevention, intervention, and treatment of high risk behaviors in youth. Workshops will be geared to a multi-disciplinary audience of youth-serving professionals, volunteers, and family members.
