Welcome to CHASP
The Center for Health and Social Policy (CHASP) is the home of social policy at The University of Texas at Austin LBJ School of Public Affairs. It is comprised of a network of faculty, students, alumni, policymakers, and professionals who are passionate about reducing inequality and tackling today’s most pressing social policy issues, including: poverty, social mobility, public education, criminal justice, juvenile justice, early childhood, child welfare, family supports, adolescent health, family structure, food insecurity, mental health, reproductive health, healthcare, health finance, aging, housing, and transportation.
- amplifies LBJ School faculty research to inform social policies aimed at reducing disparities
- bridges the LBJ School and the broader UT community and beyond, and serves as a catalyst to interdisciplinary solutions to reducing disparities
- is a home for LBJ School students and a resource for students and alumni who work to solve today’s most pressing social policy issues
Please connect with CHASP by signing up for our email list and following us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. You can also find relevant events at The University of Texas at Austin and beyond on our Events calendar.
